Athena Kennels

My only dog from childhood to adulthood was a GSD named: “Prince Von Liebestraum IX”.  He was loyal, valiant, fearless, gallant, loving, versatile, and brilliant (he learned quickly and absorbed information like a sponge). After his death, I believed that no other dog on this planet could ever match Prince’s intelligence.

Decades later, I decided that it was time for another dog. A newspaper ad sparked my curiosity about White German Shepherd dogs (WGSD). Upon arrival to this breeder’s home, the color of this white litter shocked me and led me to suspect that they were not "true" GSDs. One puppy, however, caught my attention by taking on the responsibility of caring for her littermates. Still believing that they were not "true” GSDs, and could never have the intelligence that my Prince had, I declined to buy a puppy and left...

Hours later, I returned for the puppy who was caring for her littermates. My rationale was that because she cared so much for them, she would obviously care that much for me too. She was named: “Princess Athena XVII” (Athena) and she grew up to be a loyal, valiant, fearless, loving, versatile, and brilliant dog (she learns quickly and absorbs information like a sponge), while ALWAYS taking care of me.

Conclusion? There is no difference between a White German Shepherd dog and other colored ones!!!
